Here is a copy of the email sent to parents today with reminders:
Chorus Students and Families:
With our school year well underway and the craziness of winter coming up, I
wanted to take the time to remind you of a few things. Hopefully, your children
have been relaying at least some of these messages to you at this point!
Uniform: All the shirts are finally trickling in, so they will be handed out
to everyone who ordered next week. Students who did not order a shirt will be
borrowing from the school. Please let me know if there are any specific
questions surrounding that information. ALL STUDENTS MUST WEAR THE SHIRT AND
KHAKI PANTS/SKIRT IN THE CONCERTS.
Performances: Winter Concert December 17th
This is a required event and will constitute 35% of the students' grades. The
only exceptions are illness (will require a doctor's note in this case) or other
emergencies. Those students will be required to complete an alternate assignment
to make up the grade. If students miss for other reasons, they are not allowed
to complete a make-up assignment. Students on academic probation are still
required to perform in the concert.
Our superintendent has also asked us to perform at December's School
Committee meeting at LHS. (12/3 6:30PM) These meetings are open to the public. I
hope to have as many students there as possible! Uniforms will be required.
Lastly, we have a few fundraisers coming up! We will be selling SaveAround
Coupon Books for $20 from 11/24-12/8 (duing Thanksgiving weekend)! More info
will be sent home in a couple of weeks. We will also be sponsoring a dance in
early December. Band and chorus council members will be expected to be
there.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions!
